Platform-specific PSUs

Use the full PSU label and server model to identify the replacement. Housing shape or wattage alone is not enough to approve a different OEM part.

Rack installation

Specify the server, rack type, mounting depth and required rail style. Identify left/right rails, cable-management arms, brackets and fasteners separately where the kit requires them.

Drive-bay accessories

Carriers, blanks and backplanes follow the exact bay arrangement. Include drive form factor, interface and chassis generation rather than ordering by brand name alone.

Internal chassis options

Risers, fans, retention brackets and cables depend on the installed configuration. Include CPU population, storage layout and intended PCIe devices when asking for a kit.

Part-number discipline

Same manufacturer does not mean the same part number.

OEM option numbers, service-spare numbers and component-manufacturer MPNs are distinct purchasing identities. Similar hardware is not an approved substitution.

OEM-labelled parts

Specify the server brand, full option or spare PN and exact target system. The manufacturer marking can be recorded alongside it; it must not replace the OEM number on your order.

Specify the manufacturer MPN and required specification. These products are quoted under their own identity, with host compatibility and any proposed OEM alternative reviewed separately.

Build the requirement

The details that prevent the wrong part arriving.

Complete label: Send a readable PSU label and the exact system model; keep all suffixes in the PN.
Input supply: Confirm AC or DC and the available input voltage before reviewing a power option.
Host identity: Provide exact model, generation and chassis or service configuration.
Assembly number: Photograph the existing label and record the complete PN including suffixes.
Kit completeness: List both rails, cable arms, brackets, screws and other required items.
Bay & slot layout: Describe the front/rear drive arrangement, risers and installed processors.
Rack information: For rails, include rack type, post spacing and mounting-depth requirement.
Packing: Request separated accessories and protective material so loose parts cannot strike the chassis.
