PRODUCT IMAGERY / BUYER CLARITY

An image should clarify.
Never imply more than it shows.

Product identity, warehouse atmosphere and shipment evidence are different things. Keep them separate when you specify equipment or evaluate a quotation.

Three distinct image roles.

Manufacturer reference

Use an exact model and configuration reference from the manufacturer or an identified source. Record the source and do not present it as a photograph of a currently available unit.

AI scene illustration

Use generated imagery only to illustrate an environment or workflow. A convincing scene does not verify its chassis geometry, port layout, configuration, inventory or test result.

Current-unit evidence

Request photographs tied to the actual quotation or shipment. Include identity labels, condition, supplied accessories and packing. Share private serial-number and management details through the agreed sales channel.

Clean imagery with documented provenance.

New generated warehouse scenes use a blue antistatic rubber mat of the kind used on an electronics repair bench. Preserve the mat texture, realistic contact shadows, neutral metal colour and natural depth of field. A depicted mat does not certify an ESD-safe workspace.

Keep all text out of the image itself: no captions, branding, watermarks, model names, part numbers or readable labels. Record AI-generated origin in image metadata, the scene manifest and review reports. Display photographs without promotional overlays or repeated provenance captions. Image documentation must never imply available stock, a passed inspection or manufacturer approval.

Earlier scene-library images remain illustrative references; they have not all been re-audited or regenerated to meet this updated visual standard.

Device-specific scene rules.

Rules for generated warehouse presentation images
EquipmentScreen treatmentSuitable environment
ServersA background monitor is optional. Only the supplied Dell, HPE Gen12, HPE Gen11 or Lenovo reference family may be used, with heavy defocus and no readable text.A complete, well-supported chassis on a blue antistatic rubber repair mat; coherent lighting, metal tone, perspective and contact shadow.
NetworkingNo monitor and no staged boot screen in the product scene.A standalone switch, router or firewall on the blue repair mat, with suitable connector protection and accessories.
Storage arraysNo monitor or server boot-screen backdrop. The correct enclosure and controller arrangement on the blue repair mat; ask for genuine front and rear photographs separately.
ComponentsNo monitor or invented component boot interface.Blue antistatic rubber repair mat, appropriate trays and connector protection; exact labels require real product evidence.

Screen style, not a readable system record.

These samples are deliberately defocused. A published scene must not expose legible model names, serial numbers, IP addresses, firmware, installed configuration, errors or test results. The server itself stays in focus.

The source capture’s displayed model is not transferable to another chassis. Original reference captures are kept outside the public asset directory.

Before an exact-model image is used.

Check that the model exists

Find the exact manufacturer page, manual or product guide. An AI-generated label, marketplace title or a similar-looking enclosure is not enough.

Compare the exterior

Check rack height, bezel, bay arrangement, port count and placement, vents, latches, handles and chassis colour against the correct model and generation.

Review the scene

Reject pasted-looking edges, floating equipment, inconsistent shadows, altered metal colour and impossible cable or component arrangements. Do not add fabricated inspection forms or signatures.

Assign the right role

A rendered image remains an illustration even when the intended product model exists. Do not promote it to a stock photo, OEM image or test record.

Keep the original route and evidence

Adding a workflow illustration must not overwrite a manufacturer reference or erase the ability to request current-unit photographs.

PHOTOGRAPHS THAT SUPPORT YOUR RFQ

Keep the item and its evidence connected.

Attach a photo brief to the request for your next hardware order. This is a checklist to agree, not a record that inspection has already been performed.

01

Identify the offered item

Request the exact model, part number and photographs of the identity labels. Distinguish a complete system from a bare unit, accessory, license or service.

02

Define what is included

Ask for the physical item, accessories and packaging to be listed in the quotation. A reference picture is not a complete supply schedule.

03

Agree acceptance before dispatch

Specify the condition, records, packaging photographs and handover requirements before the order is released. No image in this illustration collection confirms a passed inspection.
