This is a planning diagram, not live switch status. External equipment and its ports must be specified separately.
SWITCH 1
7050SX3-48YC8
Platform introduction: EOS 4.21.6. Confirm current maintenance-release support and the minimum release for each required function.
Choose a numbered cage, set its mode, then allocate each enabled interface.
Interface limits are shared across native and breakout modes. Enabling a lane consumes capacity even before a far-end connection is assigned. Port numbers below are an allocation grid, not a scaled front-panel drawing.
Breakout parent-port eligibility and disabled-neighbour requirements need confirmation.
Only disabled or unallocated ports can be filled. Existing connections are not overwritten.
Specify the full installed arrangement. Parts already supplied with the switch are not additional purchase quantities.
Two PSUs provide 1+1 redundancy, not twice the available redundant power. Confirm input voltage, power cords, rack feeds and cooling clearance.
LIC-FIX-2 options for switch 1. Choose the required functions and distinguish an existing license from a new purchase request.
Enhanced L3 - Group 2, perpetual.
Check each routing function against the hardware and EOS release.
EOS extensions and integration - Group 2, perpetual.
V2 covers EOS extensions and integration; it is not the legacy VXLAN license.
Monitoring and automation - Group 2, perpetual.
Monitoring and automation do not replace routing or CloudVision entitlements.
FLX-Lite routing and overlay - Group 2, perpetual.
The routing entitlement ceiling does not guarantee forwarding-table capacity on this hardware.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm a complete EOS release, including maintenance suffix.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm the current supported EOS release and feature-specific restrictions; the platform introduction version alone is not an approval.
Confirm · Switch 1: Allocate the server, upstream and peer-link ports needed for the deployment.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm all optics, breakout cables, far-end speeds and FEC together. Entered PNs are quotation requests, not confirmed compatibility.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm rack airflow direction.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm the site power input.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm all 2 installed power supplies, including items already fitted.
Confirm · Switch 1: Confirm all 2 installed fan modules, including items already fitted.
Confirm · Confirm full chassis ordering suffix, installed components, rack rails, power feeds, software entitlement and support before purchase. This is a proposed configuration, not an installation approval.
Your request is not sent automatically. Existing entitlements, final purchase quantities and compatibility are confirmed with the quotation.
Listed interface rates are not a throughput guarantee. Confirm optics, cable type, FEC, breakout support and software release for the intended links.
Expand an option for its functions, term and ordering requirements. Support services do not grant software features.
Attach a photo brief to the request for Arista 7050SX3-48YC8. This is a checklist to agree, not a record that inspection has already been performed.
Request the exact model and revision label plus a straight-on port photograph. Compare the physical port groups and uplinks with the matching manufacturer drawing.
Request PSU, fan and airflow labels, AC or DC input details, rack ears and included optics or cables. Record exclusions as separate line items.
Product photography should show the standalone device, with no boot monitor. Request console or management records separately where appropriate, with private identifiers shared through the agreed channel.
Record port speeds, media type and uplink quantities.
