PURCHASE CHECKS
1. Record controllers, host interface, redundancy, expansion shelves and the firmware scope.
2. Separate raw capacity, mathematically RAID-adjusted capacity and application-usable capacity in the proposal.
3. Match drives and carriers to the storage system qualification rules. General server compatibility is not storage-array qualification.
4. Include host adapters, expansion cables, software features and support instead of quoting an enclosure alone.
5. Request an actual controller and drive inventory. A family photograph does not prove the offered capacity.
